Abstract
A folding chair includes front and rear supports that fold and/or retract into central beams to reduce the space occupied by the chair in a folded configuration. A backrest is coupled to the central beams with a hub that allows an angle of the backrest relative to the central beams to be selected and for the backrest to be folded flat relative to the central beams. One or more actuators and pin actuators may control the relative movements of the backrest, front support, rear support, and central beams.

- a bracket configured to be removably mounted on the backrest of the chair;
- a first portion rotatably mounted to the bracket by at least one first coupling, wherein the first portion of the sun shade is rotatably mounted interior to the stiles of the backrest;
- and
- a second portion rotatably mounted to the first portion by at least one second coupling;
- wherein the at least one first coupling is configured to releasably maintain the position of the first portion relative to the bracket and the at least one second coupling is configured to releasably maintain the position of the second portion relative to the first portion.
