Abstract
An apparatus, system and method are provided for facilitating commerce. At least one image of an item is received one or more computing devices from a device associated with a user. The at least one image of the item is compared to a plurality of images of corresponding items for sale using artificial intelligence running on the one or more computing devices. A set of matching images is identified from the plurality of images of the corresponding items for sale matching the at least one image of the item based on the use of the artificial intelligence running on the one or more computing devices.
Claims20
A method, as implemented by a computer system comprising one or more computing devices running executable instructions, the method comprising:
- receiving, by the one or more computing devices, at least one image of an item from a device associated with a user;
- comparing, by the one or more computing devices, the at least one image of the item to a plurality of images of corresponding items for sale using artificial intelligence running on the one or more computing devices;
- processing, by the one or more computing devices in response to receiving a description of the item associated with the at least one image, the description to determine at least one item category corresponding to the item;
- identifying, by the one or more computing devices based on the determined at least one item category, a set of matching images from the plurality of images of the corresponding items for sale matching the at least one image of the item based on the use of the artificial intelligence running on the one or more computing devices;
- and
- transmitting, by the one or more computing devices to the device associated with the user for display, the identified set of matching images and descriptions corresponding to images in the set of matching images, wherein transmission of at least one of the descriptions includes transmission of audio data playable on the device associated with the user.
An apparatus comprising:
- a database that stores a plurality of images of corresponding items for sale;
- and
- one or more computing devices coupled to the database and running executable instructions and artificial intelligence on the plurality of images stored in the database, configured to:
- receive at least one image of an item from a device associated with a user;
- compare the at least one image of the item to the plurality of images of corresponding to the items for sale stored in the database using artificial intelligence running on the one or more computing devices;
- process, in response to receiving a description of the item associated with the at least one image, the description to determine at least one item category corresponding to the item;
- identify, based on the determined at least one item category, a set of matching images from the plurality of images of the corresponding items for sale stored in the database matching the at least one received image of the item based on the use of the artificial intelligence running on the one or more computing devices;
- and
- transmit, to the device associated with the user for display, the identified set of matching images and descriptions corresponding to images in the set of matching images, wherein transmission of at least one of the descriptions includes transmission of audio data playable on the device associated with the user.
A non-transitory machine-readable medium having stored thereon machine-readable instructions executable to cause performance of operations comprising:
- receiving, by one or more computing devices, at least one image of an item from a device associated with a user;
- comparing, by the one or more computing devices, the at least one image of the item to a plurality of images of corresponding items for sale using artificial intelligence running on the one or more computing devices;
- processing, by the one or more computing devices in response to receiving a description of the item associated with the at least one image, the description to determine at least one item category corresponding to the item;
- identifying, by the one or more computing devices based on the determined at least one item category, a set of matching images from the plurality of images of the corresponding items for sale matching the at least one image of the item based on the use of the artificial intelligence running on the one or more computing devices;
- and
- transmitting, by the one or more computing devices to the device associated with the user for display, the identified set of matching images and descriptions corresponding to images in the set of matching images, wherein transmission of at least one of the descriptions includes transmission of audio data playable on the device associated with the user.
