Apparatuses, systems, and methods for providing a visual program for machine vision systems

A system for editing a graphical program using a graphical programming development environment, comprising:

• a processor in communication with a memory, wherein the processor is configured to run a computer program stored in the memory that is configured to:
• selecting a spreadsheet node in the graphical programming development environment, wherein:
• the spreadsheet node graphically represents a portion of a graphical program;
• and
• the spreadsheet node is associated with a spreadsheet comprising a plurality of cells arranged graphically in a plurality of rows, a plurality of columns, or both;
• receiving data indicative of a function for insertion into a cell of the plurality of cells of the spreadsheet, the function being configured to perform at least a portion of a machine vision task;
• and
• generating a computer executable version of the graphical program configured to perform the machine vision task, including the function specified by the spreadsheet in the spreadsheet node.

A non-transitory computer readable medium having executable instructions associated with a system for editing a graphical program using a graphical programming development environment, operable to cause the system to:

• select a spreadsheet node in the graphical programming development environment, wherein:
• the spreadsheet node graphically represents a portion of a graphical program;
• and
• the spreadsheet node is associated with a spreadsheet comprising a plurality of cells arranged graphically in a plurality of rows, a plurality of columns, or both;
• receive data indicative of a function for insertion into a cell of the plurality of cells of the spreadsheet, the function being configured to perform at least a portion of a machine vision task;
• and
• generate a computer executable version of the graphical program configured to perform the machine vision task, including the function specified by the spreadsheet in the spreadsheet node.
