Memory access technology and computer system

A non-volatile dual in-line memory module (NVDIMM), comprising:

• a non-volatile memory (NVM) for storing data;
• and
• a media controller coupled to the NVM and configured to:
• receive, from a memory controller of a computer system, a read command for reading first data stored in the NVM, the first data comprising multiple data subblocks, wherein the read command comprises an identifier identifying the read command;
• send, to the memory controller, multiple ready signals to notify the memory controller that multiple data subblocks of the first data are available, each of the multiple ready signals corresponding to one of the multiple data blocks;
• receive, from the memory controller, multiple send commands for fetching the multiple data subblocks, each of the multiple send command being in response to one of the multiple ready signals;
• and
• send, in response to the multiple send commands, the multiple data subblocks to the memory controller, wherein each of the multiple data subblocks is sent with the identifier identifying the read command.

A memory access method performed by a memory controller in a computer system, comprising:

• sending, to a media controller of a non-volatile dual in-line memory module (NVDIMM) connected to the memory controller, a read command for reading first data stored in a non-volatile memory (NVM) of the NVDIMM, the first data comprising multiple data subblocks, wherein the read command comprises an identifier identifying the read command;
• receiving, from the media controller, multiple ready signals, each of the multiple ready signals notifying the memory controller that one of the multiple data subblocks of the first data is available;
• sending, to the media controller, multiple send commands for fetching the multiple data subblocks, each of the multiple send commands being in response to one of the multiple ready signals;
• and
• receiving, from the media controller, the multiple data subblocks of the first data, wherein each of the multiple data subblocks is received with the identifier identifying the read command.

A memory access method performed by a media controller of a non-volatile dual in-line memory module (NVDIMM), comprising:

• receiving, from a memory controller connected to the NVDIMM, a read command for reading first data stored in a non-volatile memory (NVM) of the NVDIMM, the first data comprising multiple data subblocks, wherein the read command comprises an identifier identifying the read command;
• sending, to the memory controller, multiple ready signals to notify the memory controller that multiple data subblocks of the first data are available, each of the multiple ready signals corresponding to one of the multiple data blocks;
• receiving, from the memory controller, multiple send commands for fetching the multiple data subblocks, each of the multiple send command being in response to one of the multiple ready signals;
• and
• sending, in response to the multiple send commands, the multiple data subblocks to the memory controller, wherein each of the multiple data subblocks is sent with the identifier identifying the read command.
