Abstract
A control attachment configured to control the application of power to a load is described. The control attachment comprises a body portion configured to be received by a power adapter; a plurality of contact elements extending from the control attachment, wherein the plurality of contact elements is adapted to be inserted into corresponding contact elements of the power adapter, and comprises a first contact element adapted to receive power from the power adapter; and a control circuit adapted to control the application of power received by the first contact element of the plurality of contact elements to a second contact element of the plurality of contact elements.
Claims20
A control attachment configured to control an application of power to a load, the control attachment comprising:
- a body portion configured to be received by a power adapter;
- a plurality of contact elements extending from the control attachment, wherein the plurality of contact elements is adapted to be inserted into corresponding contact elements of the power adapter, and comprises a first contact element adapted to receive a first power signal from the power adapter, a second contact element adapted to receive a second power signal from the power adapter, and a third contact element adapted to receive a neutral signal from the power adapter, wherein the first power signal comprises a line power signal from the power adapter;
- and
- a control circuit adapted to control an application of the first power signal received by the first contact element of the plurality of contact elements to a fourth contact element of the plurality of contact elements, wherein the fourth contact element is adapted to provide the first power signal back to the power adapter.
A control attachment configured to control an application of power to a load, the control attachment comprising:
- a body portion configured to be received by a power adapter;
- a plurality of contact elements extending from the control attachment, wherein the plurality of contact elements is adapted to be inserted into corresponding contact elements of the power adapter, and comprises a first contact element adapted to receive a first power signal from the power adapter, a second contact element adapted to receive a second power signal from the power adapter, and a third contact element adapted to receive a neutral signal from the power adapter, wherein the first power signal comprises a line power signal from the power adapter;
- a user interface configured to receive input signals;
- and
- a control circuit coupled to the user interface and adapted to control an application of the first power signal received by the first contact element of the plurality of contact elements to a fourth contact element of the plurality of contact elements, wherein the fourth contact element is adapted to provide the first power signal back to the power adapter.
A control attachment configured to control an application of power to a load, the control attachment comprising:
- a body portion configured to be received by a power adapter;
- a first plurality of contact elements extending from the control attachment,
- wherein the first plurality of contact elements is adapted to be inserted into corresponding contact elements of the power adapter, and comprises a first contact element adapted to receive a first power signal from the power adapter, a second contact element adapted to receive a neutral signal from the power adapter, and a third contact element adapted to receive a ground signal from the power adapter;
- a second plurality of contact elements comprising a fourth contact element and a fifth contact element adapted to receive a second power signal from the power adapter;
- and
- a control circuit coupled to the second plurality of contact elements and adapted to control an application of the first power signal received by the first contact element of the first plurality of contact elements to a sixth contact element of the first plurality of contact elements, wherein the sixth contact element is adapted to provide the first power signal back to the power adapter.
