Backlight unit and display device including the same

A display device comprising:

• a display panel;
• and
• a backlight unit configured to provide light to the display panel, the backlight unit including:
• a light emitting section including a plurality of light emitting devices disposed on a substrate, and a light source protection layer disposed on the plurality of light emitting devices,
• wherein an air gap is disposed between a top surface of the substrate and a bottom surface of the light source protection layer and in between the plurality of light emitting devices;
• a light conversion sheet having a plurality of light conversion patterns disposed in positions corresponding to the plurality of light emitting devices;
• a phosphor film disposed on the light conversion sheet;
• and
• at least one reflector including a plurality of holes on the substrate,
• wherein the air gap is disposed between a top surface of the at least one reflector and the bottom surface of the light source protection layer.

A backlight unit comprising:

• a light emitting section including a plurality of light emitting devices disposed on a substrate, and a light source protection layer disposed on the plurality of light emitting devices,
• wherein an air gap is disposed between a top surface of the substrate and a bottom surface of the light source protection layer and in between the plurality of light emitting devices;
• a light conversion sheet having a plurality of light conversion patterns, each of the plurality of light conversion patterns disposed in a position corresponding to one of the plurality of light emitting devices;
• and
• a phosphor film disposed on the light conversion sheet,
• wherein the air gap does not overlap the plurality of light emitting devices.
