Abstract
A shovel includes a lower traveling body that runs; an upper rotating body that is rotatably mounted on the lower traveling body; an attachment attached to the upper rotating body; a display device; and a processor that obtains a current shape of a target ground, calculates a recommended line that is suitable to excavate, with the attachment, the target ground having the obtained current shape, and displays the current shape of the target ground and the recommended line on the display device.

A shovel, comprising:
- a lower traveling body that runs;
- an upper rotating body that is rotatably mounted on the lower traveling body;
- an attachment attached to the upper rotating body;
- a display device;
- and
- a processor that
- obtains a current shape of a target ground,
- calculates a recommended line that is suitable to excavate, with the attachment, the target ground having the obtained current shape, and
- causes the display device to display a top surface of the current shape of the target ground and display the recommended line at a position between the top surface of the current shape of the target ground and a target that is apart from and below the top surface of the current shape of the target ground.
