Hybrid rotary drone and method of use

A hybrid rotary aircraft, comprising:

• a body extending from a front surface to a back surface, the body having an inner area;
• a plurality of arms rigidly attached to and extending from the body;
• a plurality of rotor assemblies mounted to the plurality of arms, the plurality of rotor assemblies each having a rotor;
• a plurality of electrical components;
• and
• a power source coupled to a brushless electric motor and housed within the inner area of the body, the power source having:
• a battery;
• one or more gas engines;
• and
• one or more brushless generators rotatably attached to the gas engines and conductively coupled to the battery;
• wherein the one or more brushless generators generate electrical power to be transferred to the battery;
• wherein the one or more gas engines rotate the rotor of the plurality of rotor assemblies;
• and
• wherein the battery is configured to solely start the one or more gas engines and provide electrical energy to the plurality of electrical components.
