Abstract
Provided in the present invention is an apparatus for treating clothing comprising: a cabinet in which a clothing accommodation space for accommodating clothing is formed; a housing detachably coupled to an inner wall of the clothing accommodation space and provided with a purifying space communicating with the clothing accommodation space; a photocatalyst containing a photocatalytic material and provided inside the housing; and a light source assembly, provided inside the housing, for irradiating light including UV rays by penetrating through the purifying space.
Claims19
An apparatus for treating laundry, the apparatus comprising:
- a cabinet that defines an opening at a front side of the apparatus for treating laundry;
- a first space that is located inside the cabinet and configured to receive the laundry through the opening,
- a hanger bar located in an upper portion of the first space;
- a supplier supplying at least one of air or moisture to the first space;
- a housing defining a second space in fluid communication with the first space, the housing having a first housing and a second housing, wherein the first housing is provided with a hole to allow the first space to communicate with the second space, and the first housing is detachably coupled to the second housing to define the second space between the first housing and the second housing;
- a photocatalytic member provided within the housing and including a photocatalytic substance;
- and
- a light source assembly provided within the housing and configured to emit light including ultraviolet (UV) rays across the second space to the photocatalytic member;
- a machine room provided below the first space to form a third space separate from the first space, wherein the supplier is provided in the machine room;
- and
- an air suction portion and an air discharge portion spaced apart from each other in a front-rear direction in a lower portion of the first space,
- wherein:
- the third space of the machine room communicates with the first space via the air suction portion and the air discharge portions,
- the air discharge portion is located at a rear of the first space, and
- the housing is located between the hanger bar and the air discharge portion in a rear wall of the first space.
A laundry treating apparatus comprising:
- a cabinet that defines an opening at a front side;
- a first space that is located inside the cabinet and configured to receive the laundry through the opening,
- a hanger bar located in an upper portion of the first space and extending along a width direction of the cabinet to hang the laundry thereon;
- a supplier supplying at least one of air or moisture to the first space;
- a housing that forms a second space in fluid communication with the first space, the housing having a first housing that projects from a rear wall of the first space and a second housing that is at least partially embedded within in the rear wall to define the second space between the first housing and the second housing;
- at least one photocatalytic member including a photocatalytic substance attached to the housing and provided in the second space;
- at least one light source attached to the housing and configured to emit light toward the at least one photocatalytic member, wherein a flow path is defined between the rear wall and the housing to allow air to pass over the photocatalytic member;
- a machine room provided below the first space to circulate air located in the first space and to circulate air in the second space, the machine room forming a third space separate from the first space, wherein the supplier is provided in the machine room;
- and
- an air inlet and an air outlet spaced apart from the air inlet in a front-rear direction in a lower portion of the first space, the air inlet and the air outlet being configured to allow circulation of air between the first and third spaces,
- wherein:
- the air outlet is located at a rear of the first space, and
- the housing is located in a rear wall of the first space and between the hanger bar and the air outlet.
A laundry treatment apparatus comprising:
- a cabinet that defines an opening at a front side of the apparatus;
- a storage space that is located inside the cabinet and configured to receive the laundry through the opening,
- a hanger bar located in an upper portion of the storage space and extending along a width direction of the cabinet to hang the laundry thereon;
- a door rotatably coupled to the cabinet to open or close the opening;
- a deodorizer at least partially embedded in a rear wall of the storage space and at least partially protruding from the rear wall, the deodorizer having a photocatalytic member, at least one ultraviolet (UV) light, and a purifying space that communicates with the storage space;
- a machine room provided below the storage space;
- and
- a supplier provided in the machine room to supply at least one of air or moisture to the storage space via a plurality of vents, the plurality of vents including an air suction vent and an air discharge vent spaced apart in a front-rear direction
- in a lower portion of the storage space, wherein:
- the air discharge vent is located behind the air suction vent, and
- the deodorizer is located between the hanger bar and the air discharge vent.
