Abstract
The invention provides a fulvestrant composition comprising a pharmaceutically acceptable vehicle and not more than 2% total impurities and which, optionally, is free of a non-aqueous ester solvent. The composition may be used to treat hormone receptor positive metastatic breast cancer in a subject.

A composition comprising 5%-10% w/v fulvestrant, 0.05%-1.0% w/v polysorbate 80, and a pharmaceutically acceptable liquid vehicle, wherein the composition is substantially free of a non-aqueous ester solvent and comprises not more than 1% total impurities following storage of the composition at room temperature for at least 3 months.
