Replacement heart valve commissure assembly

A replacement heart valve implant, comprising:

• an expandable anchor member actuatable between a delivery configuration and a deployed configuration;
• a replacement heart valve commissure assembly, comprising:
• at least one commissure post having an elongated proximal portion, a first leg fixedly attached to and extending distally from the elongated proximal portion, and a second leg fixedly attached to and extending distally from the elongated proximal portion,
• wherein the first leg and the second leg define a longitudinally-oriented slot extending through the at least one commissure post in a radial direction relative to a central longitudinal axis of a replacement heart valve;
• a first valve leaflet passing through the longitudinally-oriented slot in a radially outward direction and secured to the first leg;
• and
• a second valve leaflet passing through the longitudinally-oriented slot in a radially outward direction and secured to the second leg;
• wherein a first sleeve portion of the first valve leaflet is fixedly attached to a first fabric sleeve wrapped around a first leg of the at least one commissure post, and a second sleeve portion of the second valve leaflet is fixedly attached to a second fabric sleeve wrapped around a second leg of the at least one commissure post;
• wherein the first fabric sleeve is configured to receive the first leg and has a first length and a first thickness in a relaxed state and has a greater second length and a lesser second thickness when under longitudinal tension;
• wherein the second fabric sleeve is configured to receive the first leg and has a first length and a first thickness in a relaxed state and has a greater second length and a lesser second thickness when under longitudinal tension,
• wherein a width of the longitudinally-oriented tissue slot is less than a total thickness of the first sleeve portion of the first valve leaflet, the second sleeve portion of the second valve leaflet, the elastic central portion of the first fabric sleeve in a relaxed state, and an elastic central portion of the second fabric sleeve in a relaxed state.
