Decorative piece produced by setting

A method of manufacturing a decorative piece, comprising

• providing a support that is at least part of a timepiece component and that is made of a material that does not have a plastic deformation sufficient to permit setting an aesthetic element directly into the material of the support,
• arranging at least one hollow in the support, the at least one hollow being a blind hole in the support,
• filling said at least one hollow with a first material forming a substrate in which at least one housing is arranged, said at least one housing being arranged so that the aesthetic element is housable therein, said first material is an amorphous metal alloy having an elastic limit greater than 1500 Mpa, and
• deforming a gripper of said substrate to retain said at least one aesthetic element in said at least one housing, said gripper further including at least one setting element, and said deforming includes heating a bead of the at least one setting element to a temperature higher than a vitreous transition temperature Tg of the amorphous metal alloy.
