Abstract
Methods for treating degenerative disc disease by administering a human birth tissue material composition are provided. The method includes the step of administering a human birth tissue material composition onto or into at least one intervertebral disc or intervertebral space in need of treatment.
Claims5
A kit for treating degenerative disc disease or generating intervertebral disc-like tissue in a human or vertebrate animal subject comprising
- an effective amount of a human birth tissue material composition, the birth tissue material composition comprising amniotic fluid and one or more of moselized chorionic membrane and morselized amnion;
- and
- at least one delivery device including a vertebral body spacer or balloon configured to deliver the human birth tissue material composition onto or into at least one intervertebral disc or at least one intervertebral space in need of treatment.
