Device for dispensing wood-treatment agent

A wood treatment device comprising:

• a container assembly including an elongate container body with opposite container ends, wherein the container body defines an internal expanse for holding a wood-treatment agent, and the container assembly is configured to release the wood-treatment agent at a predetermined rate, one of the container ends has a neck section extending from the container body and a lip section adjacent to the neck section and distal of the container body, the neck section being narrower in axial cross-section than the lip section;
• and
• an adapter separate from the container assembly and extending away from the container body axially from one of the container ends, wherein, the proximal end of the adapter includes at least a first finger located proximal to the container body when the adapter is manually selectively secured to the one container end, and the first finger extends circumferentially around a portion of a neck space having a size configured to receive the neck section of the container but not receive the lip section of the container.
