Abstract
A system includes an electronic fuel injection system of an engine, the electronic fuel injection system including an electronic governor control unit for controlling various functions of the engine.
Claims16
A system for tracking health of an air cleaner of an engine comprising:
- an air manifold through which air passes in route to the engine;
- an air cleaner through which air passes in route to the engine;
- at least one sensor;
- an electronic governor control unit in communication with the at least one sensor, wherein the electronic governor control unit is configured to receive at least one signal from the at least one sensor, to determine a threshold based on the at least one signal, and to average, record, and set over a first pre-determined number of hours of engine operation an average air flow;
- an air pressure sensor configured to sense an air pressure in the manifold after the threshold has been determined and to generate a corresponding air pressure signal, wherein the electronic governor control unit is configured to receive the corresponding air pressure signal and to compare the corresponding air pressure signal to the threshold;
- and
- wherein the electronic governor control unit is further configured to send a warning signal when the threshold has been exceeded.
