contacting the retinal ganglion cell with a first short interfering RNA (siRNA) that inhibits the expression or activity of Mitogen-Activated Protein Kinase Kinase Kinase 12 (MAP3K12) and a second siRNA that inhibits the expression or activity of Mitogen-Activated Protein Kinase Kinase Kinase 13 (MAP3K13).
