Abstract
Exemplary embodiments relate to user-assisted robotic control systems, user interfaces for remote control of robotic systems, vision systems in robotic control systems, and modular grippers for use by robotic systems. Systems, methods, apparatuses and computer-readable media instructions are disclosed for interactions with and control of robotic systems, in particular, pick and place systems using soft robotic actuators to grasp, move and release target objects.
Claims16
A system comprising:
- a local processor operative to communicate with a remote electronic processor device, wherein the remote electronic processor device is configured to receive a grasping command from a user via a user interface, the grasping command comprising a location for the gripper to position one or more actuators and a spacing of the one or more actuators in an open configuration at a start of a grasping operation for a target object before the one or more actuators close around the target object and configured to cause the gripper to move automatically from a starting location to the position and spacing defined by the grasping command, and transmit the grasping command to the local processor;
- and
- a pick and place station in communication with the local processor and comprising:
- a robotic system comprising a base, a robotic arm coupled to the base at a first end, a soft robotic gripper coupled to the robotic arm at a second end, and the one or more actuators, the robotic system operative to grasp the target object at a first location by deploying the one or more actuators in a configuration defined by the grasping command and actuating the one or more actuators to close around the target object, and move the target object to a second location;
- and
- a sensor.
