Method and apparatus for utilizing radio access network guidance to select operating parameters

A device, comprising:

• a processing system including a processor;
• and
• a memory that stores executable instructions that, when executed by the processing system, facilitate performance of operations, the operations comprising:
• identifying a first plurality of communication devices operating within a mobile network;
• obtaining, in real-time, a first plurality of operating parameters associated with the first plurality of communication devices in accordance with the identifying, wherein the first plurality of operating parameters comprises a first signal strength and a first operating frequency associated with a first communication device of the first plurality of communication devices and a second signal strength and a second operating frequency associated with a second communication device of the first plurality of communication devices;
• applying the first signal strength, the first operating frequency, the second signal strength, and the second operating frequency as an input to a model to generate, via the model, a first prediction of a performance of the first communication device of the first plurality of communication devices;
• determining that the first prediction of the performance is inadequate in accordance with a first threshold;
• and
• responsive to the determining that the first prediction of the performance is inadequate in accordance with the first threshold, transmitting a first command to the first communication device to modify the first signal strength and the first operating frequency associated with the first communication device and transmitting a second command to the second communication device to modify the second signal strength and the second operating frequency associated with the second communication device.
