Abstract
Systems and methods are provided herein for determining reduction of interest in a content series and to increasing the interest upon such determination. This may be accomplished by a device monitoring consumption of a content series to determine a pattern of consumption. The device may identify a change in the pattern of consumption indicative of a reduction of interest and determine a reason for the reduction in interest. Based on the reason for the reduction of interest, the device may provide an operation, such as a spoiler, to increase interest in the content series.
Claims20
A computer-implemented method for determining interest in a content series, the method comprising using processing circuitry for:
- monitoring consumption of the content series, the consumption associated with a profile;
- detecting a reduction of interest of the content series based on the monitoring;
- identifying a reason for the reduction of interest using a trained machine learning model;
- and
- causing to be performed an operation, at a first device, wherein the operation causes a spoiler to be provided on a display of the first device and the spoiler is selected based on the reason for the reduction of interest.
A system for determining interest in a content series, the system comprising control circuitry configured to:
- monitor consumption of the content series, the consumption associated with a profile;
- detect a reduction of interest of the content series based on the monitoring;
- identify a reason for the reduction of interest using a trained machine learning model;
- and
- cause to be performed an operation, at a first device, wherein the operation causes a spoiler to be provided on a display of the first device and the spoiler is selected based on the reason for the reduction of interest.
A non-transitory computer-readable medium having instructions encoded thereon that when executed by control circuitry cause the control circuitry to:
- monitor consumption of the content series, the consumption associated with a profile;
- detect a reduction of interest of the content series based on the monitoring;
- identify a reason for the reduction of interest using a trained machine learning model;
- and
- cause to be performed an operation, at a first device, wherein the operation causes a spoiler to be provided on a display of the first device and the spoiler is selected based on the reason for the reduction of interest.
