Method and system for recommending potential changes in energy consumption in a built environment

A computer system comprising:

• one or more databases configured to store a first set of statistical data associated with each of a plurality of energy consuming devices present, a second set of statistical data associated with each of a plurality of users, and a third set of statistical data associated with one or more ambient parameters;
• one or more processors;
• and
• a memory coupled to the one or more processors, the memory for storing instructions which, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to:
• fetch the first set of statistical data and the second set of statistical data, wherein the first set of statistical data is fetched based on a first plurality of parameters and wherein the second set of statistical data is fetched based on a second plurality of parameters;
• collect the third set of statistical data, wherein the third set of statistical data comprises a past energy consumption data and one or more environmental conditions from one or more sources;
• analyze the first set of statistical data, the second set of statistical data and the third set of statistical data to obtain an energy consumption pattern of each of the plurality of energy consuming devices, and recognize one or more data points from the first set of statistical data, the second set of statistical data and the third set of statistical data against a plurality of factors;
• and
• recommend the one or more potential changes pertaining to the energy consumption of each of the plurality of energy consuming devices to improve the energy consumption behavior associated with each of the plurality of energy consuming devices and wherein the one or more potential changes being recommended based on an analysis of the one or more data points.
