Abstract
Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may transmit, to a base station (BS), panel information associated with identifying one or more characteristics associated with a plurality of antenna panels. In some aspects, the UE may receive, from the BS, a panel configuration message identifying a panel configuration to indicate one or more antenna panels, of the plurality of antenna panels, that the UE is to use for communication. In some aspects, the UE may communicate with the BS in accordance with the panel configuration. Numerous other aspects are provided.
Claims34
A method of wireless communication performed by a base station (BS), comprising:
- receiving, from a user equipment (UE) with a plurality of antenna panels, panel information associated with identifying one or more characteristics associated with the plurality of antenna panels;
- transmitting, to the UE, a panel configuration message identifying a panel configuration to indicate one or more antenna panels, of the plurality of antenna panels, that the UE is to;
- deactivate;
- and
- communicating with the UE in accordance with the panel configuration.
A method of wireless communication performed by a user equipment (UE), comprising:
- transmitting, to a base station (BS), panel information associated with identifying one or more characteristics associated with a plurality of antenna panels;
- receiving, from the BS, a panel configuration message identifying a panel configuration to indicate one or more antenna panels, of the plurality of antenna panels, that the UE is to deactivate;
- and
- communicating with the BS in accordance with the panel configuration.
A base station for wireless communication, comprising:
- a memory;
- and
- one or more processors operatively coupled to the memory, the memory and the one or more processors configured to:
- receive, from a user equipment (UE) with a plurality of antenna panels, panel information associated with identifying one or more characteristics associated with the plurality of antenna panels;
- transmit, to the UE, a panel configuration message identifying a panel configuration to indicate one or more antenna panels, of the plurality of antenna panels, that the UE is to deactivate;
- and
- communicate with the UE in accordance with the panel configuration.
A user equipment (UE) for wireless communication, comprising:
- a memory;
- and
- one or more processors operatively coupled to the memory, the memory and the one or more processors configured to:
- transmit, to a base station (BS), panel information associated with identifying one or more characteristics associated with a plurality of antenna panels;
- receive, from the BS, a panel configuration message identifying a panel configuration to indicate one or more antenna panels, of the plurality of antenna panels, that the UE is to deactivate;
- and
- communicate with the BS in accordance with the panel configuration.
