Abstract
A User Equipment (UE) including a wireless transceiver and a controller is provided. The wireless transceiver performs wireless transmission and reception to and from a cell. The controller receives a System Information Block type1 (SIB1) comprising first configuration of a bandwidth size of an initial Downlink (DL) Bandwidth Part (BWP) from the cell via the wireless transceiver, and applies the first configuration for communication with the cell via the wireless transceiver in response to the UE in a Radio Resource Control (RRC) idle or inactive state successfully completing a random access procedure.
Claims12
A User Equipment (UE), comprising:
- a wireless transceiver, configured to perform wireless transmission and reception to and from a cell;
- and
- a controller, configured to receive a System Information Block type1 (SIB1) comprising first configuration of a bandwidth size of an initial Downlink (DL) Bandwidth Part (BWP) from the cell via the wireless transceiver, and apply the first configuration for communication with the cell via the wireless transceiver in response to the UE in a Radio Resource Control (RRC) idle or inactive state successfully completing a random access procedure.
A method for configuration of an initial Downlink (DL) Bandwidth Part (BWP), executed by a User Equipment (UE) communicatively connected to a cell, the method comprising:
- receiving a System Information Block type1 (SIB1) comprising first configuration of a bandwidth size of the initial DL BWP from the cell;
- and
- applying the first configuration for communication with the cell in response to the UE in a Radio Resource Control (RRC) idle or inactive state successfully completing a random access procedure.
