Abstract
This invention discloses method and system for supporting posting (sharing) or un-posting (stop sharing) files, folders, and messages through utilizing private and group common workspaces. The stop sharing file or folder will not delete actual file or folder that contradicted to and enhanced for the then-existed technology for the file and folder sharing. The un-post message operation facilitates a user to remove (delete or withdraw or stop sharing) his/her previously posted message from viewing of a recipient such as from a user interface (UI) of the recipient, so that the user can avoid embarrassment if the message was not proper. Thus, the un-post the posted message has also enhanced the then-existing technology with better user experiences for message sharing.
Claims20
A method, implemented by a server, for sharing information among a plurality of users, comprising:
- allocating a first workspace exclusively to a first user and a second workspace to be accessible to a second user;
- configuring a first user interface (UI) to be displayed on a first remote device, the first UI displaying information of files obtained from the first workspace and allowing the first user to:
- (i) input a message to post the message,
- (ii) select a file from the information of the files displayed to post the file,
- (iii) select a previously posted message to un-post the message, or
- (iv) select a previously posted file to un-post the file;
- parsing a request received from the first UI for posting an object of a message or file for sharing the object with the second user or un-posting a previously posted object for stop sharing the object;
- identifying accessibility of the request and processing the request by utilizing the second workspace according to the accessibility identified;
- and
- causing displaying of a second UI to the second user on a second remote device to reflect the object being stored in the second workspace, including to display posted object on the second UI or remove the un-posted object from the second UI.
A server comprising:
- at least one hardware processor, and one computer-readable storage device comprising program code which, when executed by the at least one hardware processor, configures the server sharing information among a plurality of users, that comprising:
- allocating a first workspace exclusively to a first user and a second workspace to be accessible to a second user;
- configuring a first user interface (UI) to be displayed on a first remote device, the first UI displaying information of files obtained from the first workspace and allowing the first user to:
- input a message to post the message,
- select a file from the information of the files displayed to post the file,
- select a previously posted message to un-post the message, or
- select a previously posted file to un-post the file;
- parsing a request received from the first UI for posting an object of a message or file for sharing the object with the second user or for un-posting a previously posted object for stop sharing the object;
- identifying accessibility of the request and processing the request by utilizing the second storage space according to the accessibility identified
- causing to display a second UI to the second user on a second remote device to reflect the object being stored in the second storage space, including to display the posted object on the second UI or remove the un-posted object from the second UI.
