Abstract
An architecture for surveillance of hybrid fiber coaxial (HFC) 5th generation (5G) Long Term Evolution (LTE) small cell devices using mobile edge computing techniques hosted by a HFC device is disclosed. A method can comprise receiving first data representing a quality of service value associated with a small cell device of a first group of 5G small cell devices; retrieving second data representing a historical quality of service value associated with a second group of 5G small cell devices; as a function of the first data and the second data, generating a change value for the small cell device; and based on the change value, facilitating an adjustment in an operation of the small cell device.
Claims20
Hybrid fiber coaxial equipment, comprising:
- a processor;
- and
- a memory that stores executable instructions that, when executed by the processor, facilitate performance of operations, comprising:
- generating a ranking of values determined by comparing a quality of service value relative to a group of quality of service values;
- and
- based on the quality of service value and the ranking of values, facilitating an adjustment of an operating parameter associated with network equipment of a group of network equipment, wherein the group of network equipment is configured according to a fifth generation network communication protocol.
A method, comprising:
- establishing, by equipment comprising a processor, a relative ordering of a quality of service value in relation to a collection of quality of service values;
- as a function of the quality of service value, the relative ordering of the quality of service value, and a historical quality of service value, determining, by the equipment, an operation parameter value;
- and
- facilitating, by the equipment, a change in an operation of fifth generation network equipment based on the operation parameter value, wherein the quality of service value is obtained from the fifth generation network equipment, and wherein the historical quality of service value is obtained from a group of fifth generation network equipment.
A non-transitory machine-readable medium, comprising executable instructions that, when executed by a processor, facilitate performance of operations, comprising:
- determining a relative ordering of a quality of service value in relation to a collection of quality of service values;
- based on the quality of service value, the relative ordering of the quality of service value, and a previous quality of service value determined prior to the quality of service value, determining an operation parameter value;
- and
- facilitating a change in an operation of fifth generation network equipment based on the operation parameter value, wherein the quality of service value is obtained from the fifth generation network equipment, and wherein the previous quality of service value is obtained from a group of fifth generation network equipment.
