Abstract
A plumbing system may include a first conduit that supplies a fluid to a destination device. The plumbing system may also include a second conduit concentric to the first conduit. The second conduit includes an indicator material that changes one or more properties of the fluid supplied to the destination device when the fluid contacts the indicator material via an opening present in the first conduit.
Claims17
A conduit, configured to:
- cover a preexisting conduit configured to supply a fluid to a destination device, wherein the conduit is configured to form a space between itself and the preexisting conduit when the conduit is positioned around the preexisting conduit, wherein the space comprises an indicator material configured to provide a visual indication in the fluid supplied to the destination device in response to contacting the fluid.
A method, comprising:
- positioning a first conduit over a second conduit configured to supply a fluid to a destination device, wherein the first conduit is configured to form a space between the first conduit and the second conduit, and wherein the space comprises an indicator material configured to provide a visual indication in the fluid supplied to the destination device in response to contacting the fluid via an opening present in the second conduit.
A leak detection system, comprising a conduit configured to cover a preexisting conduit configured to supply a fluid to a destination device, wherein the conduit is configured to form a space between itself and the preexisting conduit when the conduit is positioned around the preexisting conduit, wherein the space comprises an indicator material configured to provide a visual indication in the fluid supplied to the destination device in response to contacting the fluid.
