Abstract
Rotor hubs described herein include a frustoconical body having a base, a frustum, and a longitudinal axis extending therebetween, and a plurality of elongated protrusions spaced about a circumference of the base and extending from the base parallel to the longitudinal axis.
Claims14
A rotor hub for connecting a shaft to a rotor, the rotor hub comprising:
- a frustoconical body having a base, a frustum configured to mate with a surface of the shaft, and a longitudinal axis extending therebetween;
- and
- a plurality of elongated protrusions spaced about a circumference of the base and extending from the base parallel to the longitudinal axis and in a direction of the frustum;
- each elongated protrusion terminating in an end which includes a contact pad configured to mate with a surface of the rotor.
