Abstract
A fastener assembly may comprise a housing defining a first cavity and a second cavity. A first threaded member and a second threaded member may be located within the housing. A first biasing member may be coupled to the first threaded member. A second biasing member may be coupled to the second threaded member.
Claims18
A fastener assembly, comprising:
- a housing defining a first cavity and a second cavity, wherein a diameter of the first cavity is less than a diameter of the second cavity, and wherein the first cavity is located closer to a radially inward surface of the housing as compared to the second cavity;
- a first threaded member located within the housing;
- a second threaded member located within the housing;
- a first biasing member coupled to the housing and an upper surface of the first threaded member, the upper surface of the first threaded member being oriented toward the radially inward surface of the housing, wherein the first biasing member biases the first threaded member toward to the radially inward surface of the housing and away from the second cavity;
- and
- a second biasing member coupled to the housing and an upper surface of the second threaded member, the upper surface of the second threaded member being oriented toward the radially inward surface of the housing, wherein the second biasing member biases the second threaded member toward to the radially inward surface of the housing and away from the second cavity.

A pressure-relief system, comprising:
- a pressure-relief door;
- and
- a fastener assembly configured to secure and release the pressure-relief door, the fastener assembly comprising:
- a housing defining a first cavity and a second cavity, wherein a diameter of the first cavity is less than a diameter of the second cavity, and wherein the second cavity is located closer to the pressure-relief door as compared to the first cavity;
- a first threaded member located within the housing;
- a second threaded member located within the housing;
- a first biasing member coupled to the first threaded member;
- and
- a second biasing member coupled to the second threaded member.

A nacelle, comprising:
- an exterior panel;
- a pressure-relief door hingedly coupled to the exterior panel;
- and
- a fastener assembly configured to secure and release the pressure-relief door, the fastener assembly comprising:
- a housing defining a first cavity and a second cavity, wherein a diameter of the first cavity is less than a diameter of the second cavity, and wherein the second cavity is located closer to the pressure-relief door as compared to the first cavity;
- a first threaded member located within the housing;
- a second threaded member located within the housing;
- a first biasing member coupled to the first threaded member;
- and
- a second biasing member coupled to the second threaded member.
