Aircraft door and privacy panel assemblies

A passenger suite configuration, comprising:

• a suite entrance formed between spaced walls;
• and
• a hingeless flexible privacy panel moveable between a stowed position leaving open the suite entrance and a deployed position closing the suite entrance;
• wherein the hingeless flexible privacy panel is constructed from material having a predetermined elastic modulus to permit the hingeless flexible privacy panel to be deformed elastically when a predetermined stress is applied thereto;
• and
• wherein a leading edge of the hingeless flexible privacy panel, when the hingeless flexible privacy panel is in the deployed position, is moveable out of a plane of the opening by way of force against the hingeless flexible privacy panel.

An aircraft passenger cabin configuration, comprising:

• a passenger suite having a suite entrance formed between spaced first and second structures;
• and
• a two-part door including a first part pivotally attached to the first structure and a second part slidable from the second structure toward the first part;
• wherein the first part is a rigid panel and the second part is a hingeless flexible privacy panel having a leading edge and a trailing edge, the hingeless flexible privacy panel constructed from material having a predetermined elastic modulus to permit the hingeless flexible privacy panel to be deformed elastically when a predetermined stress is applied thereto, and the flexible privacy panel moveable between a stowed position leaving open part of the suite entrance and a deployed position closing the part of the suite entrance;
• wherein the leading edge of the hingeless flexible privacy panel, when the hingeless flexible privacy panel is in the deployed position, is moveable out of a plane of the suite entrance by way of force against the hingeless flexible privacy panel.
