Dial assembly, remote control, and method for controlling an unmanned aerial vehicle

A remote control comprising:

• a housing;
• and
• a dial assembly that is disposed partially within the housing, the dial assembly comprising:
• a rolling wheel;
• a dial handle connected with the rolling wheel and configured to rotate along with the rolling wheel;
• and
• a sensor connected with the dial handle and configured to:
• obtain a rotation angle of the rolling wheel by sensing a rotation of the dial handle,
• convert the rotation angle into a control signal, wherein the control signal includes one of:
• a signal for controlling an attitude angle of a carrier or a signal for controlling an operating parameter of an imaging device;
• and
• transmit the control signal.

A system for controlling an unmanned aerial vehicle having a gimbal for carrying a camera, comprising:

• a remote control configured to control the unmanned aerial vehicle, the remote control including a housing and a dial assembly, the dial assembly including:
• a rolling wheel;
• a dial handle connected with the rolling wheel and configured to rotate along with the rolling wheel;
• and
• a sensor connected with the dial handle and configured to obtain a rotation angle of the rolling wheel by sensing a rotation of the dial handle, to convert the rotation angle into a control signal wherein the control signal includes one of:
• a signal for controlling an attitude angle of a carrier or a signal for controlling an operating parameter of an imaging device, and to transmit the control signal.
