An anti-ligature restraint device is provided. The device includes a tub secured to a mounting location. A sealing element is inserted into the tub. The sealing element includes a restraint element slot to which a restraint is secured when the device is in an open position. The sealing element is disposed entirely with the tub in the closed position. A spring within the tub provides resistance to the sealing element as it is pushed into the tub and rotated to secure the sealing element within the tub. A lid lock secures the sealing element in the closed position. The device may be used in the concrete floor of a hospital room. In the open position, the device secures patient restraints. In the closed position, the device is flush with its mounting surface and locked, thereby preventing patient tampering or access to harmful elements thereof.
An anti-ligature device for use with restraints, the restraints used within an enclosure, said enclosure having a mounting location with a mounting hole of a mounting depth and a flat mounting surface facing said enclosure, said anti-ligature device comprising:
An anti-ligature device for use with restraints, the restraints used within an enclosure, said enclosure having a mounting location with a mounting hole of a mounting depth and a flat mounting surface facing said enclosure, said anti-ligature device comprising:
A method of locking an anti-ligature device, said anti-ligature device comprising a tub and a tub sealing element, said tub sealing element disposed within said tub and slidably engaged with said tub, said tub sealing element having a top surface, said tub sealing element having at least one lock disposed on said top surface, said device having a first position in which said tub sealing element is fully disposed within said tub and said top surface is flush with a mounting surface within the environment, said device having a second position in which said tub sealing element is at least partially removed from said tub and said tub sealing element is exposed to the environment, said device further comprising a compressible element disposed within said tub and coupled to said tub and said tub sealing element, said tub sealing element having a slot for engaging restraints to said device, said slot being disposed within said tub when said device tub is in said first position, said slot being exposed to the environment when said device is in said second position, said method comprising:
An anti-ligature device coupled to a solid object, said anti-ligature device for use with restraints, said anti-ligature device comprising:
