Fast acting disinfection composition

A liquid disinfectant concentrate dilutable to a liquid disinfectant composition, the liquid disinfectant concentrate comprising:

• a) a disinfecting component comprising a mixture of
• (i) a dimethyl dioctyl ammonium compound, a dimethyl didecyl ammonium compound, or mixtures thereof, and
• (ii) an alkyl dimethyl benzyl ammonium compound, wherein the alkyl group contain between 12 and 18 carbon atoms,
• wherein the components are in a weight ratio of component (i) to component (ii) between 4:1 to 1:1,
• b) a nonionic surfactant from about 1% to about 20% of weight of the liquid disinfectant concentrate;
• c) a solvent;
• d) optionally a sequestering agent;
• and
• e) optionally a pH adjuster;
• wherein the disinfecting component along with the nonionic surfactant provide the liquid disinfectant composition with a 5 minute or less contact kill time as measured by AOAC Use Dilution Test of 2012, using methodologies 964.02 and 955.12, against P. aeruginosa and S. aureus, respectively, and
• wherein the nonionic surfactant comprises an alkoxylated alcohol surfactant having 2 to 8 moles of alkoxylation.
