Abstract
An edge protection system for use with concrete flooring, including a first part for coupling to an edge portion of a first concrete flooring panel and a second part for coupling to an opposed edge portion of a second, neighbouring, concrete flooring panel, wherein the system includes a retaining clip for retaining the second part to the first part, and the first part is slideable relative to the second part to engage the retaining clip against removal from the first and second parts.
Claims19
An edge protection system for use with concrete flooring, said edge protection system comprising:
- a first part couplable to an edge portion of a first concrete flooring panel;
- a second part couplable to an opposed edge portion of an adjacent second concrete flooring panel;
- and
- a retaining clip connecting the first part to the second part such that the first part is slidable relative to the second part to engage the retaining clip against removal from the first part and the second part, wherein the retaining clip is frangible to allow separation of the first part and the second part after setting of the first concrete flooring panel and the second concrete flooring panel.
An edge protection system for use with concrete flooring, said edge protection system comprising:
- a first part couplable to an edge portion of a first concrete flooring panel;
- and
- a second part couplable to an opposed edge portion of an adjacent second concrete flooring panel, wherein the first part and the second part are configured to be connected by a retaining clip, and wherein the first part is slidable relative to the second part to engage the frangible retaining clip against removal from the first part and the second part,
- wherein the first part defines a first cut-out and the second part defines a second cut-out, wherein when the cut-outs are aligned, the cut-outs provide an opening for insertion of the retaining clip, and such that when the cut-outs are not aligned, the first part and the second part provide a closure to prevent removal of the retaining clip.
An edge protection system for use with concrete flooring, said edge protection system comprising:
- a first part couplable to an edge portion of a first concrete flooring panel, the first part defining an L-shaped cut-out including a first vertical slot and a horizontal slot;
- a second part couplable to an opposed edge portion of an adjacent second concrete flooring panel, the second part defining a second vertical slot;
- and
- a retaining clip connecting the first part to the second part such that the first part is slidable relative to the second part to engage the retaining clip against removal from the first part and the second part,
- wherein when the first and second vertical slots are aligned, the first part and the second part enable insertion of the retaining clip into the first and second vertical slots, and wherein when the first and second vertical slots are not aligned, the first part is configured to engage the retaining clip to prevent removal of the retaining clip from the first part and the second part.
