Abstract
According to one example, an exercise system includes a base, a vertical housing extending vertically outward from the base, a first weighted touchpoint moveably coupled to the vertical housing, a second weighted touchpoint moveably coupled to the vertical housing, and one or more weight systems configured to provide weight to the weighted touchpoints. The exercise system further includes a control system that determines randomized workouts that include a random selection of a muscle group, a weight amount, a weight differential, a number of sets of an exercise, and/or a number of repetitions in the set. The control system may also cause the weight system to adjust the weight of the weighted touchpoints based on the randomized workout.
Claims17
An exercise system, comprising:
- a base;
- a vertical housing extending vertically outward from the base;
- a plurality of weighted touchpoints moveably coupled to the vertical housing, the plurality of weighted touchpoints comprising:
- a first weighted touchpoint moveably coupled to a first side of the vertical housing;
- a second weighted touchpoint moveably coupled to a second side of the vertical housing;
- one or more weight systems coupled to the plurality of weighted touchpoints, the one or more weight systems configured to provide weight to the plurality of weighted touchpoints;
- a control system configured to:
- for a first workout for a user:
- determine a first randomized workout for a muscle group of the user;
- based on the first randomized workout, cause the one or more weight systems to provide a first random heavier weight to the first weighted touchpoint for a first exercise and further cause the one or more weight systems to provide a first random lighter weight to the second weighted touchpoint for the first exercise, the first random heavier weight and the first random lighter weight having a first weight differential;
- for a subsequent workout for the user:
- determine a second randomized workout for the same muscle group of the user;
- based on the second randomized workout, cause the one or more weight systems to provide a second random heavier weight to the first weighted touchpoint for the first exercise and further cause the one or more weight systems to provide a second random lighter weight to the second weighted touchpoint for the first exercise, the second random heavier weight and the second random lighter weight having a second weight differential, wherein either:
- the first weight differential is different from the second weight differential;
- or
- the first random heavier weight is different from the second random heavier weight and the first random lighter weight is different from the second random lighter weight.
An exercise system, comprising:
- a base;
- a vertical housing extending vertically outward from the base;
- a plurality of weighted touchpoints moveably coupled to the vertical housing, the plurality of weighted touchpoints comprising:
- a first upper weighted touchpoint moveably coupled to a first side of the vertical housing;
- a second upper weighted touchpoint moveably coupled to a second side of the vertical housing;
- a first lower weighted touchpoint moveably coupled to the first side of the vertical housing;
- and
- a second lower weighted touchpoint moveably coupled to the second side of the vertical housing;
- one or more weight systems coupled to the plurality of weighted touchpoints, the one or more weight systems configured to provide weight to the plurality of weighted touchpoints;
- a control system configured to:
- for an upper body workout for a user:
- determine a first randomized workout for the upper body of the user;
- based on the first randomized workout for the upper body of the user, cause the one or more weight systems to provide a first random heavier weight to the first upper weighted touchpoint for a first upper body exercise and further cause the one or more weight systems to provide a first random lighter weight to the second upper weighted touchpoint for the first upper body exercise, the first random heavier weight and the first random lighter weight having a first weight differential;
- for a lower body workout for the user:
- determine a first randomized workout for the lower body of the user;
- based on the first randomized workout for the lower body of the user, cause the one or more weight systems to provide a second random heavier weight to the first lower weighted touchpoint for a first lower body exercise and further cause the one or more weight systems to provide a second random lighter weight to the second lower weighted touchpoint for the first lower body exercise, the second random heavier weight and the second random lighter weight having a second weight differential;
- for a subsequent upper body workout for the user:
- determine a second randomized workout for the upper body of the user;
- based on the second randomized workout for the upper body of the user, cause the one or more weight systems to provide a third random heavier weight to the first upper weighted touchpoint for the first upper body exercise and further cause the one or more weight systems to provide a third random lighter weight to the second upper weighted touchpoint for the first upper body exercise, the third random heavier weight and the third random lighter weight having a third weight differential, wherein either:
- the first weight differential is different from the third weight differential;
- or
- the first random heavier weight is different from the third random heavier weight and the first random lighter weight is different from the third random lighter weight;
- for a subsequent lower body workout for the user:
- determine a second randomized workout for the lower body of the user;
- based on the second randomized workout for the lower body of the user, cause the one or more weight systems to provide a fourth random heavier weight to the first lower weighted touchpoint for the first lower body exercise and further cause the one or more weight systems to provide a fourth random lighter weight to the second lower weighted touchpoint for the first lower body exercise, the fourth random heavier weight and the fourth random lighter weight having a fourth weight differential, wherein either:
- the second weight differential is different from the fourth weight differential;
- or
- the second random heavier weight is different from the fourth random heavier weight and the second random lighter weight is different from the fourth random lighter weight.
