Abstract
The present invention relates to an aqueous multiphase particulate suspension comprising a water-soluble polymer and to an enhanced oil recovery method using said suspension. The invention further relates to the use of the multiphase suspension in a drilling, hydraulic fracturing and mining effluent treatment operation.
Claims18
An aqueous particulate multiphase suspension comprising:
- 15 to 60% by weight of at least one water-soluble polymer in the form of solid particles with average size comprised between 5 and 500 μm;
- 15 to 45% by weight of a mixture of CaCl2 and CaBr2 having a weight ratio CaCl2:CaBr2 of between 10:1 and 1:2;
- at least one viscosifying agent other than the water-soluble polymer;
- at least 10% by weight of water;
- and
- said suspension having a Brookfield viscosity comprised between 500 and 20,000 cps, and
- said suspension having a density comprised between 1.1 and 2 kg/l.
