At least a part of the operation screen of the native program is output to a display when an event related to outputting of the operation screen of the native program has occurred while the display is displaying a screen rendered in the first memory area. ## Claims ### Claim 1 An image forming apparatus, comprising: a display; a first control unit configured to control a native program of the image forming apparatus; a second control unit configured to control an extension application that is different from the native program; a first memory area in which an operation screen of the native program controlled by the first control unit is rendered; a second memory area in which an operation screen of the extension application controlled by the second control unit is rendered; and an output processing unit configured to output at least a part of the operation screen of the native program to the display when an event related to outputting of the operation screen of the native program has occurred; and a notification unit configured to, upon accepting a user operation via an operation screen, notify the first control unit or the second control unit of operation information based on the operation screen being output, wherein upon accepting the user operation, the notification unit notifies the first control unit of the operation information when the operation screen of the native program is being output, notifies the first control unit of the operation information when the operation screen of the extension application is being output and the user operation has been performed on a part of the operation screen of the native program that has been set in, and notifies the second control unit of the operation information when the operation screen of the extension application is being output and the user operation has been performed on a part other than the part of the operation screen of the native program that has been set in, and wherein the first control unit, the second control unit, the output processing unit, and the notification unit are implemented using one or more processors. ### Claim 2 (depends on 1) The image forming apparatus according to claim 1, wherein when outputting the operation screen of the native program rendered with respect to the second memory area, the output processing unit outputs the part of the operation screen of the native program in such a manner that the part is set in the operation screen of the extension application. ### Claim 3 (depends on 1) The image forming apparatus according to claim 1, wherein when the operation screen of the extension application is being output and the user operation has been performed on the part of the operation screen of the native program that has been set in, if the operation information of which the first control unit has been notified indicates that the user operation accompanies a screen transition, the first control unit notifies the output processing unit of a priority output request for requesting that the operation screen rendered in the first memory area be preferentially output. ### Claim 4 (depends on 1) The image forming apparatus according to claim 1, wherein when the operation screen of the extension application is being output and the user operation has been performed on the part of the operation screen of the native program that has been set in, if the operation information of which the first control unit has been notified indicates that the user operation accompanies partial updating of the operation screen of the native program, the first control unit writes an update of the operation screen to the first memory area. ### Claim 5 (depends on 3) The image forming apparatus according to claim 3, wherein when operation information of which the first control unit is notified by the notification unit after the notification of the priority output request indicates an operation for making a transition to a previous screen, the first control unit issues a request for cancellation of the priority output request to the output processing unit. ### Claim 6 (depends on 1) The image forming apparatus according to claim 1, wherein when the operation screen of the native program is being output, if the operation information of which the first control unit has been notified by the notification unit indicates that the user operation is for activating the extension application, the first control unit notifies the output processing unit of a switching request for requesting that the operation screen rendered in the second memory area be output. ### Claim 7 (depends on 6) The image forming apparatus according to claim 6, wherein when the extension application is ended after the notification of the switching request, the second control unit issues a request for cancellation of the switching request to the output processing unit. ### Claim 8 (depends on 1) The image forming apparatus according to claim 1, wherein the part of the operation screen is an area that displays a state of the image forming apparatus. ### Claim 9 (depends on 8) The image forming apparatus according to claim 8, wherein a button for making a transition to a status confirmation screen is displayed in the area in a selectable manner, the status confirmation screen displaying specifics of the state of the image forming apparatus. ### Claim 10 A control method for an image forming apparatus that includes a display, a first control unit configured to control a native program of the image forming apparatus, and a second control unit configured to control an extension application that is different from the native program, the control method comprising: rendering, in a first memory area, an operation screen of the native program controlled by the first control unit; rendering, in a second memory area, an operation screen of the extension application controlled by the second control unit; outputting at least a part of the operation screen of the native program to the display when an event related to outputting of the operation screen of the native program has occurred; and upon accepting a user operation via an operation screen, notifying the first control unit or the second control unit of operation information based on the operation screen being output, wherein upon accepting the user operation, the operation information is notified to the first control unit when the operation screen of the native program is being output, the operation information is notified to the first control unit when the operation screen of the extension application is being output and the user operation has been performed on a part of the operation screen of the native program that has been set in, and the operation information is notified to the second control unit when the operation screen of the extension application is being output and the user operation has been performed on a part other than the part of the operation screen of the native program that has been set in.
