Transmission device and communication system

A transmission device comprising:

• a transmitter including:
• a controller that selects one of a plurality of operation modes including a first operation mode transmitting data by means of differential signals and a
• second operation mode transmitting date by means of three-phase signals and generates control signals according to the selected mode,
• wherein the transmitter further comprises:
• a first selector that selects one of a plurality of signals having a first signal according to control signals from the controller;
• a first output terminal electrically connected to the first selector;
• a second selector that selects one of a plurality of signals having an inversion signal of the first signal and a second signal according to control signals from the controller;
• and
• a second output terminal electrically connected to the second selector;
• wherein the controller operates so that in the first operation mode, the first selector selects the first signal and the second selector selects the inversion signal of the first signal and in the second operation mode, the second selector selects the second signal.

A transmission device comprising:

• a transmitter including:
• a controller that selects one of a plurality of operation modes including a first operation mode transmitting data by means of differential signals and a second operation mode transmitting date by means of three-phase signals and generates control signals according to the selected mode,
• wherein the transmitter further includes
• a plurality of output terminals, wherein the plurality of output terminals are divided into at least one group based on the selected mode, and voltages of output terminals in each group are set based on the control signals, respectively.

A transmission device comprising:

• a transmitter including:
• a controller that selects one of a plurality of operation modes including a first operation mode transmitting data by means of differential signals and a
• second operation mode transmitting date by means of three-phase signals and generates control signals according to the selected mode, wherein the transmitter comprises a plurality of serializers, and wherein
• in the first operation mode, a serializer, which is corresponding to output terminals in one group and in the plurality of serializers, output a positive signal and a negative signal to the first output terminal and the second output terminal which is adjacent to the first output terminal respectively to constitute a differential signal;
• and
• in the second operation mode, three serializers, which are corresponding to output terminals in one group and in the plurality of serializers, output signals to the first terminal and the second terminal and the third terminal to constitute a three-phase signal.
