System and method for automated application programming interface generation

A non-transitory computer readable medium comprising logic instructions, that when executed by a processor, cause operations including:

• receiving entry files including source code and configuration data, wherein the source code is for a user interface program, wherein the source code includes a plurality of Application Programming Interface (API) calls, and wherein the configuration data includes a definition for each of the plurality of API calls;
• generating the user interface program by a complier configured to compile the source code, wherein the user interface program includes executable code;
• and
• generating skeleton API data based on definitions of the plurality of API calls included in the configuration data, wherein the skeleton API data comprises a set of rules generated by the compiler, wherein the set of rules define a structure for the each of the plurality of API calls used by the user interface program, wherein the structure for the each of the plurality of API calls includes syntax and semantics to be used by a middleware program when interfacing with the user interface program.

A system comprising:

• one or more processors;
• and
• a non-transitory computer readable medium having logic instructions stored thereon that, when executed by the one or more processors, causes performance of operations including:
• receiving entry files including source code and configuration data, wherein the source code is for a user interface program, wherein the source code includes a plurality of Application Programming Interface (API) calls, and wherein the configuration data includes a definition for each of the plurality of API calls;
• generating the user interface program by a complier configured to compile the source code, wherein the user interface program includes executable code;
• and
• generating skeleton API data based on definitions of the plurality of API calls included in the configuration data, wherein the skeleton API data comprises a set of rules generated by the compiler, wherein the set of rules define a structure for each API call of the plurality of API calls used by the user interface program, wherein the structure for the each of the plurality of API calls includes syntax and semantics to be used by a middleware program when interfacing with the user interface program.
