A non-transitory computer readable storage medium storing one or more programs, the one or more programs comprising instructions, which, when executed by an electronic device with a display, a touch-sensitive surface, and one or more sensors to detect intensity of contacts with the touch-sensitive surface, cause the electronic device to:
- display, on the display, a user interface of a first software application;
- and,
- while displaying the user interface of the first software application:
- detect a first input that includes a contact detected on the touch-sensitive surface, wherein the contact included in the first input is associated with a respective region of the user interface of the first software application that is associated with at least a first operation and wherein the contact of the first input does not satisfy a first intensity threshold during the first input;
- in response to detecting the first input:
- in accordance with a determination that a first tactile output setting is active for the first input, perform the first operation without generating a tactile output;
- and,
- in accordance with a determination that a second tactile output setting is active for the first input, forgo performing the first operation;
- detect a second input that includes a contact detected on the touch-sensitive surface, wherein the contact included in the second input is associated with the respective region of the user interface of the first software application that is associated with at least the first operation and the second input is different from the first input and wherein the contact of the second input satisfies the first intensity threshold during the second input;
- and,
- in response to detecting the second input, in accordance with a determination that the second tactile output setting is active for the second input, perform the first operation in conjunction with generating a first tactile output associated with the first operation.
