Refrigerator having a transparent door

A refrigerator comprising:

• a cabinet defining a storage space;
• a door configured to open and close the storage space;
• an out plate defining an outer appearance of a front surface of the door and having a plate opening;
• a door liner defining an outer appearance of a rear surface of the door and having a liner opening;
• a transparent display assembly (i) which is disposed between the door liner and the out plate to cover the plate opening and the liner opening, (ii) through which the storage space is visible, and (iii) which is configured to output a screen;
• a PCB that is disposed inside the door and that is connected to the transparent display assembly;
• a control unit provided at the cabinet to control an operation of the transparent display assembly;
• a plurality of flat cables that are configured to connect the transparent display assembly to the PCB and that are configured to be disposed along a circumference of the transparent display assembly;
• and
• at least one connection cable that is configured to connect the PCB to the control unit and that is provided in a wire shape to pass through the door,
• wherein a number of the at least one connection cable is less than a number of the plurality of flat cables to allow the at least one connection cable to pass through a hinge shaft of the door.
