Abstract
Provided is a vehicle travel control apparatus configured to, when a specific scene has not been detected, start deceleration control after a first set time has elapsed since alert processing is started, the vehicle travel control apparatus being further configured to, when the specific scene has been detected, start the deceleration control before the first set time has elapsed since the alert processing is started.
Claims10
A vehicle travel control apparatus for a vehicle, comprising:
- an abnormal state determination module configured to repeatedly determine whether or not a driver of the vehicle is in an abnormal state in which the driver loses an ability to drive the vehicle;
- a driver alert module configured to, when determining that the driver is in the abnormal state, start alert processing for the driver;
- a first travel stop module configured to, when determining that the abnormal state is not resolved at a time point at which a first set time has elapsed since the start of the alert processing, start deceleration control to stop the vehicle;
- a specific scene determination module configured to acquire peripheral information of the vehicle in a situation in which the abnormal state is not resolved, and determine whether or not a travel scene of the vehicle is a predetermined specific scene based on the peripheral information;
- and
- a second travel stop module configured to, when determining that the travel scene of the vehicle is the specific scene, start the deceleration control before the first set time has elapsed since the start of the alert processing to stop the vehicle, wherein the second travel stop module is configured to, when determining that the travel scene of the vehicle is the specific scene after a second set time has elapsed since the start of the alert processing, start the deceleration control to stop the vehicle, the second set time being longer than zero and shorter than the first set time.
3 more elements
A vehicle travel control apparatus for a vehicle, comprising:
- at least one processor programmed to:
- repeatedly determine whether or not a driver of the vehicle is in an abnormal state in which the driver loses an ability to drive the vehicle;
- when determining that the driver is in the abnormal state, start alert processing for the driver;
- acquire peripheral information of the vehicle in a situation in which the abnormal state is not resolved;
- and
- determine whether or not a travel scene of the vehicle is a predetermined specific scene based on the peripheral information,
- wherein
- upon a determination that the travel scene of the vehicle is not the specific scene and that the abnormal state is not resolved at a time point at which a first set time has elapsed since the start of alert processing, start deceleration control,
- upon a determination that the travel scene of the vehicle is not the specific scene and that the abnormal state is resolved at the time point at which the first set time has elapsed, terminate alert processing, and
- upon a determination that the travel scene of the vehicle is the specific scene and that the abnormal state is not resolved at a time point at which a second set time has elapsed since the start of the alert processing, start deceleration control, wherein the second set time is earlier than the first set time.
