## Abstract

The present technology generally relates to compositions comprising cannabinoids for relieving pain in a subject and to methods of using such compositions for relieving pain in a subject.

## Claims

### Claim 1

A composition for topical application comprising:
at least one purified cannabinoid, wherein the purified cannabinoid is cannabidiol (CBD);
at least one anti-inflammatory agent in an amount ranging from between about 10 wt % and about 90 wt % of the total weight of the composition, wherein the anti-inflammatory agent is methyl salicylate; and
at least one botanical extract, wherein the botanical extract is arnica.

### Claim 2 (depends on 1)

The composition of claim 1, further comprising a terpene or terpenoid.

### Claim 3 (depends on 2)

The composition of claim 2, wherein the terpene or terpenoid is menthol, camphor, or a combination thereof.

### Claim 4 (depends on 2)

The composition of claim 2, wherein the terpene is an isolate, an extract or a distillate.

### Claim 5 (depends on 1)

The composition of claim 1, further comprising a flavonoid, wherein the flavonoid is an isolate, an extract or a distillate.

### Claim 6 (depends on 1)

The composition of claim 1, wherein the purified cannabinoid is present in an amount ranging from between about 0.5 wt % and about 10 wt % of the total weight of the composition.
