Abstract
A cloud connected lighting system may include a wireless lighting network of coordinated lighting devices and a bridge to provide connectivity to external devices such as a cell phone, home automation system or security system. The cloud connected lighting system may be implemented locally with a cell phone communicating with the bridge for control, status and alerts. The cloud connected lighting system may operate over the cloud via an Internet connection allowing the bridge to communicate with a server on the Internet that may implement software for the interface with the wireless lighting network and to capture data regarding activity detected by motion sensor associated with the wireless lighting network.
Claims20
An electronic device comprising:
- a light source;
- a battery;
- one or more processors;
- and
- one or more computer-readable media storing instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the electronic device to perform operations comprising:
- causing, during a first period of time, first power received from an external power source to be provided to the light source;
- causing, during the first period of time, second power received from the external power source to be provided to the battery;
- receiving data associated with providing third power from the battery to the light source;
- and
- after receiving the data, causing, during a second period of time, the third power from the battery to be provided to the light source.
A method comprising:
- receiving first power from an external power source;
- providing a first portion of the first power to a light source;
- providing a second portion of the first power to a battery;
- receiving data associated with providing second power from the battery to the light source;
- and
- after receiving the data, providing the second power to the light source.
An electronic device comprising:
- an electrical component;
- a battery;
- one or more processors;
- and
- one or more computer-readable media storing instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the electronic device to perform operations comprising:
- causing, during a first period of time, first power received from an external power source to be provided to the electrical component;
- causing, during the first period of time, second power received from the external power source to be provided to the battery;
- receiving data associated with providing third power from the battery to the electrical component;
- and
- after receiving the data, causing, during a second period of time, the third power from the battery to be provided to the electrical component.
