Abstract
An electronic device may comprise a communication interface and a processor configured to control the communication interface to receive cellular data from at least one cellular base station, to predict a position of the electronic device based on the received cellular data, to receive information about at least one wireless LAN base station, and to determine the position of the electronic device based information about the at least one wireless LAN base station and the predicted position.
Claims20
An electronic device comprising:
- a first communication circuitry;
- a second communication circuitry;
- and
- at least one processor configured to:
- control the first communication circuitry to receive cellular data from at least one cellular base station,
- identify a first position of the electronic device based on the received cellular data,
- identify that a first preset event, among a plurality of preset events, related to a predetermined area has occurred based on the first position of the electronic device,
- based on identifying that the first preset event, among the plurality of preset events, has occurred based on the received cellular data, control the second communication circuitry to receive information about at least one wireless LAN base station,
- identify a second position of the electronic device based on the received information about the at least one wireless LAN base station,
- identify that the first preset event, among the plurality of preset events, has occurred based on the second position of the electronic device, and
- provide a message for notifying that the first preset event has occurred based on identifying that the first preset event, among the plurality of preset events, has occurred based on the received cellular data and the received information about the at least one wireless LAN base station.
A method for obtaining a position by an electronic device, the method comprising:
- receiving cellular data from at least one cellular base station;
- identifying a first position of the electronic device based on the received cellular data;
- identifying that a first preset event related to a predetermined area, among a plurality of preset events, occurs based on the first position of the electronic device;
- based on identifying that the first preset event, among the plurality of preset events, occurs based on the received cellular data receiving information about at least one wireless LAN base station;
- identifying a second position of the electronic device based on the received information about the at least one wireless LAN base station;
- identifying that the first preset event among the plurality of preset events, occurs based on the second position of the electronic device;
- and
- providing a message for notifying that the first preset event occurs based on identifying that the first preset event, among the plurality of preset events, has occurred based on the received cellular data and the received information about the at least one wireless LAN base station.
A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium storing a program including at least one command which, when executed by a processor of an electronic device, causes the processor to:
- receiving cellular data from at least one cellular base station;
- identifying a first position of the electronic device based on the received cellular data;
- identifying that a first preset event related to a predetermined area, among a plurality of preset events, occurs based on the first position of the electronic device;
- based on identifying that the first preset event among the plurality of preset events, occurs based on the received cellular data, receiving information about at least one wireless LAN base station;
- identifying a second position of the electronic device based on the received information about the at least one wireless LAN base station;
- identifying that the first preset event among the plurality of preset events, occurs based on the second position of the electronic device;
- and
- providing a message for notifying that the first preset event occurs based on identifying that the first preset event, among the plurality of preset events, has occurred based on the received cellular data and the received information about the at least one wireless LAN base station.
