Abstract
A method for providing information to a plurality of vendors located remotely from a broadcast network. A plurality of user-defined parameters are received by a user input database with at least one of the user-defined parameters including a user profile. Each of the user profiles includes a user identifier code identifying a communicator device associated with a particular user. Real-time data indicative of the spatial locations of the communicator devices is received by a communicator location database. Search information is received independently from a plurality of vendors and a data set is generated for each vendor.
Claims30
A system for outputting individualized output signals to communicator devices and providing information to vendors, the system comprising:
- a communicator location database stored on non-transitory computer readable storage media remotely located from the communicator devices containing real-time data indicative of spatial locations of the communicator devices;
- a user input database stored on non-transitory computer readable storage media remotely located from the communicator devices containing user profiles, wherein each of the user profiles is associated with a user and includes a weather content identifier identifying weather data of interest to the user and a user identifier code identifying one of the communicator devices;
- and
- a weather analysis unit including one or more computer processors remotely located from the communicator devices, the weather analysis unit configured to:
- receive weather data associated with a set of spatial locations;
- generate individualized weather output signals for each user by selecting the weather data identified by the weather content identifier stored in a user profile associated with the user and associated with a spatial location of a communicator device associated with the user stored in the communicator location database;
- output the individualized weather output signals to a communication network for transmittal to the communicator devices;
- receive search information independently from the vendors;
- compare the individualized weather output signals to the search information for each of the vendors;
- and
- generate a dataset utilizing the search information for each of the vendors, each dataset including the user identifier code for each communicator device that received an individualized weather output signal according to the search information.
A method for outputting individualized weather output signals and providing information, the method comprising:
- receiving real-time data indicative of spatial locations of communicator devices;
- storing the real-time data indicative of the spatial locations of the communicator devices in a communicator location database stored on non-transitory computer readable storage media remotely located from the communicator devices;
- receiving user profiles, wherein each of the user profiles is associated with a user and includes a weather content identifier identifying weather data of interest to the user and a user identifier code identifying one of the communicator devices;
- storing the user profiles in a user profile database stored on non-transitory computer readable storage media remotely located from the communicator devices;
- receiving weather data for spatial locations by an analysis unit including one or more computer processors remotely located from the communicator devices;
- generating individualized weather output signals for each user, by the analysis unit, by selecting the weather data identified by the weather content identifier in a user profile associated with the user for a spatial location of a communicator device associated with the user stored in the communicator location database;
- outputting the individualized weather output signals to a communication network for transmittal to the communicator devices;
- receiving search information independently from vendors;
- comparing the individualized weather output signals to the search information for each of the vendors;
- and
- generating a data set utilizing the search information for each of the vendors, each data set including the user identifier code for each communicator device that received an individualized weather output signal according to the search information.
