Abstract
Techniques and devices are provided for attaching a die to a metal manifold. A metal-containing ink is used to deposit a metal trace on the die and thereby to form a gasket, after which the die is compressed against the manifold to form a sealed connection between the two.
Claims12
A method of fabricating a device comprising a die and a metal manifold, the method comprising:
- depositing a metal-containing ink in one or more traces around one or more vias on a die to form a gasket;
- placing the gasket in direct physical contact with a metal manifold to which the die is to be sealed;
- and
- compressing the die against the metal manifold to form a sealed connection between the one or more vias and one or more corresponding channels in the metal manifold.
