Abstract
An inductor includes: a body including a coil portion; and an external electrode disposed on an external surface of the body, wherein the coil portion includes an insulator having an opening and a coil pattern filling the opening, and a maximum thickness of the coil pattern is greater than a thickness of the insulator in contact with a side surface of the coil pattern.

An inductor comprising:
- a body including a coil portion;
- and
- an external electrode disposed on an external surface of the body,
- wherein the coil portion includes an insulator having an opening and a coil pattern filling the opening,
- a maximum thickness of the coil pattern is greater than a thickness of the insulator, the insulator being in contact with a side surface of the coil pattern, and
- an interface between the coil pattern and the insulator is free of a surface parallel to a lower surface of the coil pattern.
