Processing of video streams

Data processing equipment comprising at least one processor and memory configured to:

• receive at least one video stream depicting an object via a transfer protocol;
• re-package the at least one video stream to a stream of video frame records, each video frame record representing an integer number of video frames;
• provide the at least one video stream to at least two video processing detectors, each video processing detector comprising a respective deep convolutional neural network trained to detect one or more of the object or a property of the object;
• receive a respective stream of object lightweight data records from each of the respective video processing detectors, the streams of object lightweight data records generated based on the respective detection, and representing a property of the object;
• and
• provide at least one stream of object lightweight data records to at least one context detector configured to perform a secondary detection based on object lightweight data of the stream of object lightweight data records,
• wherein the detections of the at least two video processing detectors are scheduled by a task-graph scheduler.

Data processing equipment comprising at least one processor and memory configured to:

• receive at least one video stream depicting an object;
• provide the at least one video stream to at least two video processing detectors, each video processing detector comprising a respective deep convolutional neural network trained to detect one or more of the object or a property of the object;
• receive a respective stream of object lightweight data records from each of the respective video processing detectors, the streams of object lightweight data records generated based on the respective detection, and representing a property of the object;
• and
• provide at least one stream of object lightweight data records to at least one context detector configured to perform a secondary detection based on object lightweight data of the stream of object lightweight data records,
• wherein the detections of the at least two video processing detectors are scheduled by a task-graph scheduler, wherein the at least one processor and memory are configured to provide the at least one stream of object lightweight data records to the at least one context detector via a message-queuing middleware, and wherein the at least one processor and memory are configured to implement the at least one context detector as a micro-service configured to read the stream of object lightweight data records from the message-queuing middleware, and to write a stream of context data to the message-queuing middleware.
