Abstract
One example method includes receiving user input concerning a data protection policy for an entity, where the user input is in the form of written input and/or audio input, when the user input comprises audio input, translating the audio input into text, determining an intention of the user with respect to data protection for the entity by translating the text to common terms by interpreting terms of the text that have the same meaning as being similar words and applying context to the words, identifying a data protection policy that best corresponds to the intention of the user concerning data protection for the entity, and applying the data protection policy to the entity.
Claims19
A method, comprising:
- receiving user input concerning protection for data generated and/or stored by an entity, wherein the user input is in the form of written input and/or audio input;
- when the user input comprises audio input, translating the audio input into text;
- determining an intention of the user with respect to a particular nature of data protection to be used to protect the data generated and/or stored by the entity by:
- translating the text to common or standard terms;
- and
- applying textual context to the common or standard terms;
- identifying external parameters, wherein the external parameters comprise an industry type, and regulatory requirements of the industry;
- identifying, using the textual context, the common or standard terms, and the external parameters, a data protection policy that best corresponds to both the intention of the user concerning protection for the data, and the external parameters;
- and
- applying the data protection policy to the entity;
- and
- executing the data protection policy so that the data generated and/or stored by the entity is protected as provided by the data protection policy.
A non-transitory storage medium having stored therein instructions which are executable by one or more hardware processors to perform operations comprising:
- receiving user input concerning protection for data generated and/or stored by an entity, wherein the user input is in the form of written input and/or audio input;
- when the user input comprises audio input, translating the audio input into text;
- determining an intention of the user with respect to a particular nature of data protection to be used to protect the data generated and/or stored by the entity by:
- translating the text to common or standard terms;
- and
- applying textual context to the common or standard terms;
- identifying external parameters, wherein the external parameters comprise an industry type, and regulatory requirements of the industry;
- identifying, using the textual context, the common or standard terms, and the external parameters, a data protection policy that best corresponds to both the intention of the user concerning protection for the data, and the external parameters;
- and
- applying the data protection policy to the entity;
- and
- executing the data protection policy so that the data generated and/or stored by the entity is protected as provided by the data protection policy.
