A method of treating rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, or ankylosing spondylitis in a subject in need thereof, the method comprising administering to the subject a weekly single subcutaneous dose of about 10-80 mg of etanercept,
- wherein the etanercept is administered in a pharmaceutical composition comprising about 50 mg/ml etanercept, an excipient, and a buffer;
- wherein the excipient is lysine and the buffer is sodium citrate;
- wherein the pharmaceutical composition does not comprise arginine;
- and
- wherein the composition has not been lyophilized.
