Methods for producing nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery and electrode thereof

A method for producing an electrode of a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery, the method comprising:

• an applying step of applying an active material slurry containing an active material, a binder, and a dispersion medium to one surface of a core so as to form a plurality of lines of the active material slurry, the plurality of lines extending in a longitudinal direction of the core and being spaced from each other in a width direction of the core;
• after the applying step, a drying step of blowing first hot air to the core from at least a lower side in a vertical direction while keeping the core aloft;
• after the drying step, a cooling step of blowing first cooling air having a lower temperature than the first hot air from at least the lower side in the vertical direction while keeping the core aloft so as to cool the core until the core has a temperature of 40° C. or lower;
• and
• a step of forwarding the core after the drying step to a guide roll that imparts a particular tension to the core,
• wherein the cooling step is performed after the core undergoes the drying step and before the core contacts the guide roll and thereby preventing warping due to thermal expansion difference between the active material slurry and the core.
